Process is an interactive installation that explores the transience of memory and the disappearance of images through decay. Printed photographs from the past are immersed in water in an aquarium and gradually disintegrate over time, leaving white traces on the glass, visual remnants of time. Audience members can photograph this process, capturing a moment that will also eventually vanish. Meanwhile, a camera in the space records viewers as they watch. Thus, a cyclical relationship is formed between the image, the viewer and time: everything becomes part of the same process of disappearance and lingering traces.
