“You cannot step into the same river twice.”
– Heraclitus

The exhibition Panta Rhei – Spaces We (Do Not) Carry is rooted in a thought that has accompanied me for a long time: Heraclitus’ idea that change is the only constant. “Everything flows” is, for me, not just a philosophical concept but a lived experience — one that unfolds in space, in the body, in history, and in relationships. Through my works, I explore these processes: how we change, what we carry with us, and what we let go of along the way. In the installations I create from clay, metal, and printmaking, I investigate space as a carrier of memory and transformation. I am interested in how traces of erosion, wear, and time inscribe themselves into materials, but also into ourselves. My work invites moments of pause and reflection on the changes we experience — in the environment, in society, and in our own inner landscapes. With the series Tiramol and ZILLEBÄCKER, I address themes that are personally and socially meaningful to me: migration, labor rights, structures of power, and the ways they shape our everyday lives. I strive to remain committed to ecological and sustainable practices in my artistic process, because I believe that responsibility begins with the materials we choose and the ways we engage with them.
I use experimental intaglio techniques, especially thermal engraving, to explore real and vanished spaces — places I have lived in, as well as those that exist only in memory or imagined landscapes. These prints become a kind of mapping of transience and identity, opening questions about how we construct our inner and collective spaces.
